Hello everyone! This is an 1853 Coronet that I would like to get some assistance in grading. I've pegged it as a F-12 but this is the ONLY Coronet I have so I'm not real sure of that grade.
I would agree with a F-12 details grade. However, it has corrosion and appears harshly cleaned. As a problem coin it is only worth a few dollars IMO. It certainly will do as a type coin, but if you are willing to spend maybe $25 you should be able to find a much nicer example without too much trouble.
Thanks Jaobler for the feedback. This was one of the very first coins I purchased when I started collecting so I'll hang onto it for those reasons but I'll start looking for a better type example for the collection.
