Looks like three large, to me. They seem to be all three from the same die. Dick

If your question is whether you have a small date or not, the answer would be no, they are all large dates. All of them have blunt curl 9s and creased 7s.

I'm not sure with all the help that has been given here how anyone can still completely ignore the difference. Do you even read the posts here that other people post, or are you content with complete guesses on everything all the time?

Like I said before, I think you should buy one, once you have one in-hand, you will never guess again. I bought a nice one on this forum for $25 for my Dansco.

Hmmm...I can understand some sincere confusion over the first coin, given how beat up the digits have become. However, some people are so good with these to see through all the damage

Bravo DVcollect and thanks Jim1953. And The Duke, If there was a place to look-find-afford, and buy one anywhere within 175 miles I would own one, and will within the next month. And Coppercoins, can you find a quote in any post prior that states the point of the nine with the word blunt and the new one today of a "creased 7". a littlebit of the same info on the same variety without all the info at once needed to make the right judgement and be positive with the conclusion sure seems redundant to me. Kinda like playing soccer and not knowing where the goal is. I wont ask for help on ANY 1970 S ever again and we wont have to beat any more horses. sorry for the desire of knoledge on the subject.

I agree, all large dates but I do still struggle with these in-hand more so than pictures. With a picture you can zoom in and see the height difference in the seven. This reply was just plain RUDE, if you don't like the question move on to the next without comment. No one is twisting your arm here.

Quote: and the new one today of a "creased 7" There is nothing new about it and it has been previously mentioned in multiple threads about 1970s, the lack of a crease and a pointed curl 9 are two of the primary diagnostics for a 1970-S small date. photos by https://www.coppercoins.comWhen you compare them side by side, the differences should be obvious, you just have to learn the specific appearance of the diagnostics. Don't look at a coin in a vacuum, compare it to a known example of what you are looking for(if you do not own one, there are plenty of pics available), continually guessing just adds to the confusion.
