Hello All
I hope you can help me. I need a coin collecting inventory software program for my elderly father.
What is a good and affordable coin collecting software program?
Needs to be extremely user friendly with Inventory capabilities Progressive evaluations and face value capabilities Running total of values face and book
Any information you can provide me will be deeply appreciated.
Thank You Topi

I haven't use any software before (I've thought about many times) But I found a list on PCGS through their resource lick on the lift hand side of the page. I'll give you a link for it. Like I said I haven't use them. hope this helps. http://www.pcgs.com/resource_links.chtml

I am a big fan of Heritage's "My Collection": https://coins.heritageauctions.com/...on/login.phpIt's FREE and better yet, this on-line software can be exported to an excel sheet, it provides you with the number of other members that specifically put a given coin on their "My Want List" and Heritage will provide you with wholesale prices of what your coin should sell for. A simple excel sheet with columns titled: Date/MM, Description, Grading Service (if any), Date Purchased, Purchase Cost (if any), and whatever columns YOU want works just fine. I use both!

You can use excel, which is free if you use the openoffice version. As well as, like djluster mentioned, I use omnicoin to upload my coin pictures there.

When I did my research couple years ago, I went ahead and ordered Coin Elite from here: https://secure9.rolet.com/trovesoft...updates.htmlI decided on this software after asking in the old CW forum and after downloading and testing a few demo versions. After receiving CE, I really liked it, and was better than I expected, it can do all you ask and some, including updates on prices which I believe is done once or twice a year (free the first year) fee afterwards (if I recall). Keep in mind tho, that entering info into any proggy you buy is alot of work--More work if you updload pics--My collection got big--then my puter stuffped out (hard drive crashed) before I had a chance to back up the data base --Needless to say, I have not loaded the proggy back up, but I still might do it one day when I have the time---Moral of story? ALWAYS back up your data base-- BTW, welcome to our forum!! CiScO
