Very nice wheatguy! I just got "slq" fever lately, so I'm drooling over some of your earlier dates.

Love it! Can't wait to see your AU 1916. Hey, we can all dream, can't we?

Great set - love the look of the 1919 and 1920 especially!

Ahhh, beautiful. I recently started with SLQ's as well. Trying to start with everything in at least F-VF condition, which can be pricey for some of them. AU for some isn't too pricey, so that is the route for those, (28, 29, 30 for example).
I doubt I'll get to those grades for certain ones (16!) - but really like working on the set.
Good luck finishing yours up!

Thanks everyone! It took me about 4 months to get to this point, and it will probably take an eternity because of the 1923-S and 1916.

Quote: I think I'll edit this post every once in a while after a few coins have been added to the set, to keep track of my progress. I have a 17-D Type 2 coming from ShadowCreator, but here are current pics of my set. This is just a suggestion. If you edit the pictures, post the updates down here. Some people might not know what has changed. By the way, for those that did not notice, he uploaded some better pictures!

Those are GORGEOUS wheatguy! I especially like the 1919, and 1923. I always thought I would be a "type set" only guy, but this series has really "swept me off my feet"...:-) I may post my set so far, but I don't even have a proper album yet(just ordered one). I'm using my Washington quarter dansco and some improperly labeled washington pages.

Jbuck and Nickelsearcher, thanks. Next time I update the pics, which won't be for a while, I'll post them down here. Don't want to make it too hard for dial-uppers and those with slow connections to look at this thread, as I have too many pictures in this thread as it already is. Some have been pretty hard to track down, but it's been a really rewarding and fun journey. Johnny and Nickelsearcher, remember to eventually post pics of your SLQ sets!

would any of you suggest roll hunting for SLQ's? I would like to know if there is a decent success rate of finding them by going to the bank and buying boxes or customer wrapped...

I don't know if anyone already suggested this, but you should remove the plastic sliders before taking the pictures. Just remove the slider for the side you're photographing and replace before photographing the other side (if you do that).
