I would add a bit more to the story. As we all know, where there are "serial numbers involved, the "collector" tends to get, where possible numbers in series, which makes for a more vakuavble pair of items, as a unit. While the coins are not numbered secquencially, it would be very close to it being a fact that these two coins are , (were) struck very clse together, almost as in series. That IMHO, should make for a pair of more valuable coins as opposed to the value of either individual coin. I have not read all the thread, so I don't know if the date has been divulged, or not, but I had to comment. "back to the thread, which shioule be interesting reading! Dick

cwb8539, I hope you won't mind but I pasted the link to this blog on the membertalk area of The FLY-IN CLUB. This story is very interesting and I thought the club members would agree. I would like to suggest that you join the club. With your interest in Indian cents I think you would enjoy the information available there, especially in errors and varieties. There has been some talk about including your story in a future issue of Longacre's Ledger. I hope that I haven't been too forward in my assumptions. God Bless, Bill S.

from the sticker on the slab of the Brockage coin it seems it has already passed over Rick Snow's desk at least once. I think he will love to see these two together

It was part of the Bob Lutzel collection, which from what I read on the internet, was quite a collection of Indian error cents (please correct me if I'm wrong). I thought it was kind of cool to know a little about where it had been. Just a neat little tidbit that I thought I'd share. I'll be sending these two coins into NGC soon.

that is pretty cool, congratulations. Just out of curiosity, what are their rules for putting two coins in the joint holder?

I'm not sure. I know I've seen proof sets in these holders, but I don't know if they have any rules.
