j_h_s Pillar of the Community United States 1934 Posts	Posted 07/01/2010 08:15 am My first opinion: I think it's normal and that LIBERTY was struck with pitting surrounding it, that condition compromising the strike...the very close-ups arent focused enough to see detailed profiles of LIBERTY letters. Staunch New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 07/01/2010 10:06 pm I have both 1982 Lincoln cents. Small date is a D. no mint mark on the large date. Here is my question. The small dated cent has a clear stamp of the state of Massachusetts. The large date cent has a stamp of the state of Maryland. Both states are stamped and located to the right of Lincoln's nose. I believe the coins are non-commemorative coins made by a private company or person. Any help. Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff
