Quite a large Die Crack I wonder how long after this
strike that the Die finally failed all together ?
Just thought I would share it with the group.

A few more coins later and this die would be real interesting.

Is it just me, or die cracks slightly rarer on dimes? I suppose I just haven't seen that many, but could the smaller die make the die cracks less common on dimes?

Coop,
I agree with you the rest of the coins from this die
until it blew would be cool to see.

RollSeeker, This is the only the second Roosevelt dime I have seen
with Die Cracks. I Do not see them often at all.
I also have one 1875 CC Seated dime that has Die Cracks
And those are all I can ever remember seeing.

Coop, was curious. On that 65 dime would it not be a reverse die break ?
Trying to get a picture of the strike process on this one.

The reverse if weak because of the missing area of the die. The reverse is normal, just the lack of pressure in that area to form the devices on the reverse. Usually that way on most Cuds. Always something I ask to see on every one posted in a forum.
