Picked up 4 rolls yesterday... nothing of note other than a 2010-D Yosemite (California), and a 2011-D Gettysburg (Pennsylvania).

Quote: I don't know whether to laugh, cry, or both. Maybe I'll just do this!
Those 2009 NMI coins are tough given that the two mints made only 35 and 37 million respectively. Technically, I do own the missing 2009-P NMI coin as it's in my 2009 mint set, but I'd like to finish up that circulation finds set. It definitely prompted me to question what I always thought was my timely completion of that series! I have no idea how I went for so long not even knowing that quarter existed. If I had to guess, my 2009-2010 self must have believed the 1-year Districts and Territories program simply followed the 5-quarters-a-year release schedule of its State Quarters equivalent. Once I hit 5 different quarters, I must have thought that was "the end," and consequently did not keep looking for 2009 pieces. This was likely reinforced by my apparent failure to look at a release schedule! Yes, I've had the same experience with the first few years' worth of National Park Quarters. There are many, many holes I have been unable to fill as-yet.

There are many, many holes I have been unable to fill as-yet. When I first got back into CRH, my primary focus was actually quarters as I thought (wrongly) that all of the good Cents, Nickels, and Halves were gone... It took me about 3 months of searching 1,000-1,500 or so coins a week to get to where I am at, just needing the 2009-P NMI coin. Several other dates in the 2009-2012 range are what I would call scarce.

First CRH proof quarter, found by my 7-year old son, while we were working through a box: He was pretty excited! Me too.

Today I finally had a good coin find for the first time in several months. I had to open up a roll of quarters at work and one of the quarters had a white rim. I figured it was a clad Canadian but something told me it was silver since the rim was too white for a steel coin. Turns out I was right in both ways: it's a silver 1968 Canadian quarter! It's my first silver Canadian coin I've found and my first silver quarter since the time I scored big in January!

FYI, I am going to try to wake up this thread tomorrow... one of my tellers has been holding about $500 of CWR of quarters for me, and tomorrow I finally get to start digging into them.

Well I hope you have more luck than I did today. I stopped by the bank and picked up a box of quarters and it was all 2015D Kisatchie rools. Booo.....

I really don't like to get full boxes of anything other than halves for that very reason. At least I know with the customer wrapped rolls I'll not run into the problem of a bunch of newbies.

Good job on both counts, IllegalTender...
BTW, my 12 CWR yesterday yielded no silver. Though I did grab 8 of the low-mintage 2009-2012 dated coins. Still looking for my first 2009-P North Mariana Islands coin to complete my modern quarters CRH set.
