Are there other members planning on getting the Lincoln presidential dollars this week.
My bank got them in today, but will not release them until Thursday. I think they like making me wait. They only get in the "P" mint rolls Not sure how I will be getting the "D" rolls.
Also from the mint, for those that do not have pre-orders. We can order 2010 proof silver eagles starting at noon (eastern time zone) Friday. I am thinking of getting five of these .. what are others doing?
Lastly I see the mint posted the last roll set for the 2010 Parks quarters, Mount Hood national forest. I have the first three roll sets, so now I can order the last two set. Is anyone else ordering these rolls?

I hope to get a box of the Lincoln dollars. My bank has been very good about getting me a box of each of the last 4. I don't keep a whole box, just one roll, but having a box to look through gives me a chance to get a roll of really nice ones and there's always the possibility of finding more missing-edge-lettering dollars.

okiepb I agree .. I think Lincoln would make a good coin by having some that area missing edge letters.

The banks around my area(buffalo,ny) seems to never get any of the new stuff in. How do you guys get them to order coins for you?

I switched banks a few times before I found the one I have. I know they have a lot of people asking about coins, they even keep a list and will call me when something comes in.

Have you seen the new Lncoln Dollar? While the proof dollars look prety good, the UNC P & D are just passable. I'm not sure what the business strikes will look like but mine have been shipped. I'll keep you posted as to when I receive them. I'd be curious to see if they'll add the Lincoln Dollar to the direct ship program. Right now, the latest Presidential dollar coin available for the program is Andy Jackson.

Have you ever tried the direct shipment program. If they do it for Lincoln .. I would like to order. Is it true that you only pay the price of the coins .. not any shipping charge?

I'm getting an ASE (I hope) and the Grand Canyon and Mount Hood Quarters. The only Presidential dollars in the direct ship program I've ever seen are the 4 from 2007 and Jackson from 2008.

Goldrush, I was thinking that too. Only because my bank will not order a box of anything for me. I still love small town America though. I'm really waiting to see what the business strike look like. If they are anything like the Washington and Jefferson, I don't want to get stuck with a lot of ugly oxidized golden dollars. As I said, the UNC and Proof coins are neat; sometimes the business strikes don't match up to the hype.

I'm gonna get a few rolls of Mr. Lincoln, for the folders and such. My Proof Lincoln dollar has been in my Whitman album for a long time now ! ... I'll have/get a few rolls just to have them "on hand".......and I like Lincoln too, but I just don't need to "overkill" the whole thing !

I've used the direct ship program - works great. They email you saying its charged and shipped and it shows up overnight ups. has the weight of a brick. The items they have on there I think is based on what is sitting in their warehouse. no guarantee of mint marks or wrapper types.
The coins look the same as the rolls you get at the bank.
as for finding new ones - call a few banks. While not every bank around here has them, a few do. In fact one that used to get them, said that they weren't going to, called me and said they had them. They let me pick them up November 10th. Heheh. the other bank though said no to picking it up earlier.
Still need to find someone with D mints.

From the mint ordering website:
NOTICE: We anticipate unusually high demand for the American Eagle Silver Proof Coins, which the United States Mint will make available for sale on November 19, 2010, at noon ET. Because of the high number of customers that we expect to be placing orders during the first few hours of sales, you may experience delays when attempting to order online or through the call center during this period. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience.

I picked up 4 rolls of Lincoln (P mint) dollars today. Gave 2 rolls to my local coin shop and open one. I don't think they look to bad, but I did not have my glasses on.
I have one roll that is heads/tails, is someone wanted to trade it for a roll of "D" mint I would be open to that trade.
