What do you think about this one? Do you think it makes F12?

Thanks for the input!

Looks like a Vf rev, Vf headress and soft LIBERTY. Should make an F12 easy. nlp

The soft LIBERTY is really throwing me. The rest of the details look VF to me as well, but I don't know if the weak LIBERTY would knock it down into F territory. Is this date known for weakness in that area?

I scored it for a little less than VG money, so I'm thrilled even with F12.

I would say at least a F-15.

Like others in this forum the weakness in the liberty most likley that would bring the overall grade down despite the VF details elsewere to a F-12 to F-15 range still a nice coin in my book!

I believe PCGS would give this coin a VF-20 rating based on comparing photos from auction sites. Soft liberty does not seem to be a major impediment provided the other details are sharp (which they are on this coin). Slabbed, that's a $250 coin at auction nice buy.

I personally think this is a bit better than VF-20 based on the reverse detail.

F 15 is the best I would go based on the headress wear.

While many books will say to be VF, an IHC needs to have a full liberty, I don't always agree. Here, while there is more wear on and around the headband, you can still make out all the letters to some extent and the rest of the coin has only light to moderate wear. I would think this coin deserves a VF grade due to the entire look and wear of the coin.

This might grade as high as F-15 in hand.
