Guys, I placed the last Morgan dollar in my album this afternoon - yep, it was an 1893S - not in too good a shape - gouged pretty bad on the obverse device, but it fits real well with the rest of my circulated set. To be honest, I never thought, years ago when I started collecting Morgans, that I'd ever have a complete set, but years of watching and waiting paid off. Now, for those of you who are just dieing to ask - no I do not have an 1895 - my set consists of (for the most part) well circulated business strike coins, andm, as far as I know, the 1895 is a proof only coin - even though Dansco has a hole for one in their album, I'll never have one - costs more than my entire circulated set is worth. Never been one to set my goals so high that they're unattainable. One other thing, with the completion of this set, my U.S. business strike dollar coins are complete from 1878 through 2010, and I think that's pretty cool, too. I've got some proof dollars as well, but I didn't start on them until the Ike dollars - proofs complete from 1971 through 2010 (Ike, SBA, ASE, SAC, Pres). Anyway, I just wanted to share my good feelings with the forum family - I'm pretty pumped right now. Ralph

Great Coin. I would be interested in seeing the whole circulated set. I have always liked the Morgans and am thinking about putting a set together.

Ralph, it is an ongoing pleasure to witness your methodical approach to collecting. You do it right the first time, you set your own rules, and you stay the course. We at CCF are proud to count you among us.
That is one heck of a collection, in any grade. You should be one proud and happy camper.

Canadian-Banknotes, if you'd care to go over to the member's photo galleries, I've got them all there (I think I'm the only Ralph so it shouldn't be too hard to find my albums). I posted the album pages rather than all of the individual coins, but after posting the obverse, I flipped the coins, and posted the reverse as well - you'll see what I mean if you go over and check 'em out.

Just looked through the set, looks great! Congrats on an amazing set completed. Looking through your coins makes me want to start collecting Morgans more and more.

SuperDave, that means alot brother. I have, indeed, come far from that greenhorn you used to give pointers to years back - if you recall, I wasn't even sure how to scan coins correctly back then. I have truly found something that brings me a great deal of pleasure - nothing quite like finally getting a coin you don't have, and especially if it's one you've waited a long time to get. As for staying the course, I'm kind of like an old plow horse - just keep plodding along till I get there.

This is again, so cool. It makes my new Washington 32-98 and my FBL Franklin full flag seem minuscule. WAWAWA. Congrats. I only wish.

I was going to remind you of that, Ralph - you have come *so* far from the guy who needed help with scanning pics, back in the day. You applied yourself to that problem with the same focused approach that you've done with your collection, and enjoyed the same result: success, every time.

Numisnut - congratulations on your quarters and halves. I, also, have those two sets completed, but they're both in circulated grades. Still, it's kind of nice to hve them.
