My oldest coin is one I just bought off ebay and it hasn't arrived yet. It seems I can't save the image off of the auction, so I can't post a photo. It's a 1798 Large Cent, 2nd Hair Style (The most common variety I believe). I've always wanted a US coin from the 1700's! Sadly I will likely be in California by the time it arrives, and ironically it's shipping from California. I'm headed to northern CA, and the coin is in southern - otherwise I would ask to pick it up in person.

The difference between Southern and Norther Cal is pretty dramatic....I just moved to Arkansas permanently from there a little less than two years ago....don't miss it a bit.

From Conder101: Oldest United States is the oldest possible, 1787 Fugio cent. Anything befor that would be individual state issues or colonials issues. The Fugio was issued by the United States but not the current United States, different government. That's fantastic. I would love to have one of those! Such an amazing piece of our history.

Right-click and select 'View Page Info' on the context menu. Then select 'Media' in the toolbar. For pages with multiple images, you can "Save As" on each one from here.

Yeah, you can say that again Moe.... If it were mine, I would find a way to wiggle those photos into every thread on the site (even the paper money threads). Gorgeous coin Paratrooper.... ..(I don't give two thumbs up very often).
