Does anyone collect red books? I find it interesting looking at coin values in older Red books. My 1961 Red Book shows 1909 S VDB $40 in good and $97.50 in Unc. Red Book collection 1961 1966 1968 1969 1971 1973 1975 1977 2004 2008 2009 Ask me the value of your coins for any of these years

I buy them at Goodwill stores, flea markets, garage sales etc. Usually I find them for a buck or less and like you like to look at old values. I have picked up other old price guides this way too. I'll get a list of what years I have eventually and post in this thread.

Great fun .... I have my well-used as a YN 1972 RedBook (cover says 25th Edition). Quote: roanoke 1/2 dollar 1961/1971
Well .... in my 1972 RedBook .... only two grades priced, as follows: Ex. Fine: $17 Unc: $30 Gotta love those prices. My 2010 Roanoke purchase in PCGS MS65 cost me $292. David

I have every issue ever made. Started collecting them a long time ago and now have all of them. The first ones have been well used but after a while I started getting one for the collection and one a few for usage. Most of the ones in my Red Book collection have never been opened. Just sit on a shelf getting older.

I'd buy as many 1964 Kennedy half dollars for 50 cents as I could find. I also have a stack of old Red Books going back to 1965, minus a few from the 80's,

Very cool okiepb! I would like to find one from my birth year 1962. The oldest one I have is from 1963 that my grandpa gave me and on the inside cover the price of the book is noted as 1 dollar, in pencil even!

I've got the 32nd Edition, 1979. It is neat to look through and see the price difference. Not sure of the value on the book. It's in really good condition. I'd sell it.
