Well, your Morgan pictures, anyways. As you may or may not know, Coin Community has a pretty darn good facts section about US coinage: http://www.coincommunity.com/us_coin_facts/You'll see every US issue represented there. The purpose of this thread specifically regards the Morgan dollar section: http://www.coincommunity.com/us_dollars/morgan.aspEach year and mint mark of Morgan mintage is represented. Some have pictures, some do not. It's time to change that. There are some pretty strong coin photographers among our membership, and we're asking you to share images. They'll be handled much like I've done in the group of 1921 VAMs I've just posted, like so: http://www.coincommunity.com/us_dol...n_dollar.aspSmaller thumbnail, click for larger picture. Grade is not relevant, although for clarity it should a Mint State coin. What counts is quality. Images should be no less than 800 pixels, and clearly-focused. I can help with them via postprocessing. It would be our preference that each contributing member receive credit for their help. We want it to be emphasized that this is a community effort. If you wish to remain anonymous, that's OK too. Oh, yeah. If the coin you offer isn't already attributed, we'll see what we can do to come up with an attribution, and you'll get to start the VAM Detail page for that issue, like so: http://www.coincommunity.com/us_dol...n_dollar.aspOr, you could add to the already-existing VAM Detail page for that year. For the VAM Details pages, grade is not relevant as long as the attribution details are still clear. You don't think we're stopping with 1921, do you? Contact me via forum email if you wish to help with images. I will be contacting members on my own initiative, as well.

This is awesome, guys. The response has been wonderful - I've got well over a hundred images already and more coming all the time. And, nohope587, you know darn well your stuff meets my specs easily. Thank you all very much. We're gonna make something pretty cool of this.

All of 'em, Dave. We'll need P01 for the Grading Set anyways.

I would love to contribute! Now I need to download some photographs in the required size so they may be published. I'll get to work on this.

Can anyone tell me how much PCGS or NGC charge to grade and slab coins. I just started collecting silver coins a couple of years ago and would like to have some graded. I noticed one of the members stated it cost around $30 to have a coin graded and slabbed. I have bought several American Eagles off of ebay and the difference in the price of an ungraded Eagle and a PCGS or NGC graded and slabbed MS69 are usually only around $5 more. How can, or why would anyone have a coin graded only to increase it's value by $5 or $10. Even MS70 coins are usually not $30 higher unless it is one of the lowest mintage dates. Thanks
