hopefully I have this one correct. I know the 1960D small date is common, but would like to have something on hand for reference. Am I correct that the 60d is the small and the 60 is the large? to me it looks as if the 60d's "1" is same height as the nine, the "0" is slightly off from perfectly round and the top leg of the "6" is slightly shorter. Hopefully this is correct and I have this one finally, lol. Thanks to everyone that has been so helpful so far, especially you coop, your tips rocks!

Going on those pics. you are correct.
The D is a small and the P is a large.
Keep in mind the length of the loop
on the 6
With those pic. angles I may be wrong
but looks correct.

OK, you've nailed this one. The large & small date D are common. The large date Plain mint ones are common. The small date Plain mint the harder ones to find and a premium for them.

So which one is this?

Coop, That looks like 1960D-1DO-001, small date over large date, with an RPM to boot. What do I win for getting it right? Ha-ha...

It was found in a roll of small date Denver mint roll I picked up at a local coin show. I keep the roll unchecked for a couple of years. In the mean time I bought a BU example. I finally got to the roll and there it was. Made my day.

So the 60D, small date, is common. Any value at all? And the 60 plain...what type of premium is there? I would think not much in average circulated condition.

In BU the 1960 Plain small date is in the $3-7.00 area. For the Large & Small Date Denver and large date Philly less than a quarter.
