I am lucky that I live close to Toronto so I have many different dealers all within an hour from my house.

Do you have a local dealer? If not where do you buy your coins?

Yep there are 3 in town that I've visited (and at least 1 that I have not). They are SOOOOO different in personality.

The only place around where I live is a jewelry shop that dabbles in some coins. Local auction and the internet is where I have to get coins. Or drive to a major city

I have two right in town (there are two more but they don't have any darkside so they don't exist to me), one more in a small town nearby, about 10 mi., and another in a next city, about 20 mi. So, I can't complain.

I have one in my city. I have been going there for 20 years. I buy from him (mostly supplies), but coins from two coin shows I attend four times per year and ebay. Certain websites too.

I have 6 coin shops with in 20 miles. One of them I go to 3 or 4 times a week.
Two of them I go to about once a week.

If I wanted to go out to 50 or 60 miles I know of at least 4 more.

We also have 4 or 5 coin shows a year .. more if I wanted to make the two hour drive
to Biloxi MS.

The two places I go to the most are 15 and 30 miles away. There are still a few other places within 30 miles from where I live that I haven't been able to visit yet.

I have a coin dealer a half hour or so away who I'm just getting to know, he's a nice person and I've bought supplies and a few coins from him.
There is also a small coin show (15-20 dealers) monthly durning the summer which I went to a couple times. Of course they all know each other and
many of them seem fair and nice also. I bought a lot of stuff from ebay but lately I'm disenchanted with that venue and purchase things from this site. There are some auctions on the horizon that I'm getting excited about so it seems I'm getting a feel for the local opportunities here in upstate new york.

I have no local dealers anywhere near where I live. I have to do most of my purchases online which is really hard. I would love to have a good dealer somewhere close

I found a bullion dealer within 20 miles of home just this week I saved 16 mercs from the refinery and got them at 10 cents a piece below spot. They are my first Mercs!

Yes, there are 4 within 15 miles that I've visited over the years.

Unfortunately, they may as well be named

I'm always amazed to hear about good/nice/fair dealers because I thought they were Mythical Creatures.

And my apology if you ARE that guy at the end of the showcase!

The guys in Virginia beach at Candl coin and stamp are really fair I've bought two coins there, slabbed and accurately graded, well below gray sheet prices. Let me get an 1889-CC Morgan in VF-30 without paying an arm and a leg (they charged me a cool $1000; PCGS graded; great eye appeal coin).

Closest one here seems to just be about bullion, but I am only able to go on weekends and seems busy.
