Happy Friday everyone!

Ok, I have been searching for a 1984-d DDO #1 or #2 for quite some time. These are class 2/6 (distorted/distended) doubled dies which are usually quite difficult to ID for me.

I found this coin last night and wanted your opinions on it. There appears to be extra thickness on the "L" and "I" of liberty and on the "8" and "4" of the date, but this coin does not appear to match DDO #1 or #2 as listed on Coppercoins. I cannot discern any split serf's or separation lines - only extra thickness on some design elements. My question: Is this a DDO or just more wishful thinking?

Hopefully, my photo's will indicate what I am talking about, but if not I can always post more. Thanks!

Chugly

It may be a new listing. It will be interesting to see what coppercoins thinks on this one?

Thanks coop! Your response gives me some hope. The thickness on the "L" is what really jumped out at me.

Wow, that "L" looks like a well worn cowboy boot!

Hey Scooby,

I would love to try and get it listed, but I am unsure how to go about doing that? Not a situation I find myself in very often - ha ha.

I am very open to suggestions on a course of action:). Thanks everyone!

They are quite minor, but are worthy of listing. Not to say they have all that much value, but they are at least - well, interesting.
