Cool. Are you putting together a solid grade set, or whatever you can get?

My advice is to buy each coin as if it was the last one to fill your album. Be as picky as you can be within your budget, if something bothers you so badly about a coin that every time you try to look at it you end up staring at it's fault(s) then pass on that one and look for another.
Well good luck!

it is definitely a challenge. I guarantee some of the holes you thought were going to be hard to fill will be easier than expected and some of the ones you didn't even consider as being hard will be the hardest ones to fill. When I started mine I never would have thought I would have so much trouble finding a problem free Classic head large cent but if I were honest with myself, that was the hardest hole in the whole album and I have the gold page in mine also

How much would you say it costs to complete a collection like this? Even if it is in a lower grade set.

Best of luck on your journey toward completion. If you are like me, you may "finish" it at some point, but it will never truly be "finished". Mine will always be a "work in progress" but there aren't many things more fun than finding that next hole filler.

This is totally off the top of my head because I haven't really kept up with prices but I think you could do a lower grade (G-VG) set - no gold of course - for somewhere around $1500 or maybe just a tad less if you can pick up some bargains. Certain coins are gonna cost you - even in lower grades - the early dollars and the early copper as well as a couple of others.

Depends on if you try to include a 1913 Liberty Head Nickel, a 1916D Mercury dime, 1894S Liberty Head Dime, 1856 Flying Eagle cent, etc. Why a set like that could end up costing hundreds of dollars.
