I know everyone's going to let me have it on this one, but I want the education that comes with it. So here it is.

The area that grabbed my attention is west of the 7 and above the tail of the 2. Is this doubling?

Also, I've seen this affect on the N in the motto on other 1972's. Is that common like the D in GOD is? Master Hub Doubling?

Here is what is common on all three mints of master die doubling.

A closer show would help unless the master die doubling is exactly the same as you see in my images.

Thanks for opening my eyes alittle more Coop.

The coin looks simular to the Master Die Doubling pictures that you sent with alittle extra (not sure how to word it correctly). The 7 seems to have a bar on the west side running N to S but stops short of the bottom and curves in like the bottom of another 7. Battery for camera is charging right now so please let me know if you still want better pictures and I will post them later. Thanks for your time.

In 1972 a master hub suffered heavy doubling. Master dies passed down this doubling to the working hubs and the dies were created with this same doubling. A large percentage of dies had this master die doubling from all there mints. They are very common. They are doubled dies, but the number of them takes away a real premium for them. Some may sell them, but they are common.
