But, this one seems worthy.

It's missing it's mintmark! And die trails on the reverse! And it looks like a microscopic worm coming out of Jeffersons's head!

Sorry, for a fleeting moment I flirted with the "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" mentality. It doesn't suit me.

Sorry, everyone has their moments.

Very cool doubled die Scooby, are you already aware of which die it is?

Not really.

There's nothing listed in the CPG and CONECA only has one die listed. It does appear as though the doubling increases from left to right, though.

Well, I can't help much but to say it's definitely class 2 (class II).

If I get the chance and can find this again, I'll look it up.
Actually, I think it is a "No S over No D" Jefferson nickel.

From your photo it looks like you've got WDDR-002, which is as Chuck stated, a class II Distorted Hub Doubled Die.

Very cool coin, in BU it should be worth in the range of $35-50. Thanks for sharing Scooby!

It's always great to find a 50 or 60 year old nickel (or any other coin) that looks like that. Was it a roll find?
