Set 1: US Presidential Set including 1972-S Ike dollar, 1964 Kennedy half, 1964 Washington quarter, 1962 Roosie dime, 1944-P War Nickel, 1944 Wheat cent...all coins in BU and in a holder housed in a nice presentation set $27.95 Set 2: Americana Series Presidents set including 1968-D Kennedy half, 1974-D Lincoln Cent, 1993-D Roosie dime, 1992-D nickel, 1982-D Washington quarter....all AU+ to BU for $4.95 Set 3: 1964-D and 1964-P Kennedy 90% halves set in acrylic holder $30.00 Set 4: Strange But True set including 1967 Kennedy half, 2006 Lincoln set, both BU for $5.95 Not too bad I think since the silver value alone is around $93.66 based on today's spot price of $46.68 and I paid a total of $68.85.

You did fantastic on the 1964 Kennedy halves for certain. At spot alone they are worth almost $17 each. I would go back and buy the rest of the inventory of those at only $30, sell them on the bay and then use the profits to buy a coin you really want.

Sounds like you have a nice local coin shop! Oh on a side note do you have to pay tax on coins?

Quote: Oh on a side note do you have to pay tax on coins? Here in Wisconsin we do have to pay taxes, but I have a reseller's permit so I can get them without tax. Of course I have to file TONS of paperwork and record everything I sell plus have to charge sales tax if I resell to someone in Wisconsin who doesn't have a resale permit themselves. Everything I buy is subject to these rules, and eventually the items I bought today will be sold but not right away. :)
