I came across this listing on ebay for a 1971 LMC partially unplated.I thought the Mint didn't start putting a copper plating over a zinc core until 1982.The seller says he is a long time member of coneca so I would think he knows what he is talking about but I'm not sure what to think.any input to set me straight appreciated.

You are correct Jasper. The mint started using copper coated zinc planchets in 1982. No clue what this guy is talking about. His spelling and grammer is very poor, and just because he says he knows errors... well, you know how ebay is!

Unplated/clad 1971 cent. LOL At least he could have blamed it on a poor copper mix or toning or just a stain?
