This is the first of 2 1914-D LWC's in the estate I'm evaluating. Grading opinions would be helpful. Added a couple new pics. Original Pictures Edited by trdhrdr007 05/08/2011 2:25 pm

EDIT: Changing my grade to F-15 based on new pics.
The verdigris by the date and LIBERTY and the smudge on the right on the obverse are definitely going to hurt it though.

Splash some light on this coin when taking the pics. Might actually go VF.
VDB on the shoulder? Everything looks right. Would call it a "woodie" though.

Typical weak strike on the reverse. Dealer would grade as a low end VF, but is a nice F overall. Obverse would carry a low VF, but the reverse will not support this. So, price between the two grades.

VF20, needs to be authenticated, lots of fakes out there.

Nice coin, to bad I already have one. I would have thought VF20 though.

I'm with the crowd that would have put it at VF20.

Interesting grade, hey, at least it's genuine! These usually market grade up a tick, I still think it's VF-20....too bad about the corrosion. It's a good candidate for expert conservation.

The corrosion will keep it out of any certified holder. Its details are VF25. The corrosion knocks it way down - I would give it "VF details net F corroded".
