Even grading has an emphasis on the obverse of the coin over the reverse. NGC(and other TPGs) will holder a coin with the reverse on the label side if the submitter requests it. I've only seen it with toned coins. Given that the toning is bringing the value to the coin, it's nice to have that on the front instead of having to flip holders upside-down to show it off. I believe that the toning is natural because I have one that is similar but is only toned on the reverse. The obverse looks very much like your obverse. If I had that kind of cash I'd buy it in a second considering I love toned coins and I love Morgans! I say go for it. Report this Post to the Staff
