1. I would want to see a much better picture of the mint mark.
2. Obviously the slab is not worth the plastic it's made out of.
IMHO: I would spend a couple hundred + more and look for a solid FR-02 for around $450, or around $600 for a solid AG-03. (Just me...)

I hear you Moe. I would definitely want a nice problem free example as opposed to a problem coin like this but, I was thinking more along the lines of what I can snatch it for :0

$200 would be a fair offer. Personally, I think some of the older PCI slabs (with the green/red) trim are pretty decent as far as grading, and sometimes even conservative. I think PCI destroyed themselves with the later generation overgraded stuff.

Its been my experience that when someone list a "buy it now" with best offer, they are willing to sell for about 60% of the listed price

Horrible photos of that possibly, maybe, could be real coin. I'd rather spend that money on booze in a neighborhood bar.

The fact it has a damaged rim I dont think its even worth 200. The photos are terrible and the damage might be alot worse than you think.

The slab itself is from PCI's "reputable" days as a TPG. They were the first TPG to slab "problem" coins, and it's likely that they were the only service which would slab this coin at all at the time it was encapsulated. I would cautiously trust the originality of this one.

I'm passing on it and yes, I agree PCI was much more trusted in these days. No returns, didn't see that. Another reason for me to pass. On the selling end, how much can you possibly move this for and still make a profit? So, I get the coin in hand, and it's an S :o - outweigh + on this one.

That damage is pretty intense...why would someone do that or what would cause it (if not done on purpose)?

Well it is a key and I believe it to be fairly graded. It is really your call as to whether you want it that badly or not. I myself would probably buy a nice MS65 Morgan with that 200, a Seated Liberty dime or Half Dime but that is just me. Whatever you decide to do, good luck to you.
