Poll Question
I wanted to know something since I started here. Since this is my 250th post... time out for some dancing fruit ...

I am interested to see what people in this forum collect and how close they are to my own focus.

Since I tend to like US, Canadian, and Australian (although I do not have many of these), I am specifically including these 3 countries in the poll. Please do not feel as if I am slighting your area of the hobby b/c I do not mention your country by name!

[And, BTW, I do realize this actually is my post number 251 - I accidentally hit the Post New Topic button before I was ready on number 250! )

Do you collect:

Poll Choices
 Only Canadian
 Only US
 Only Australian
 Only ancient
 Primarily Canada then US
 Primarily Oz then US
 Primarily US then Canada
 Primarily US then Oz
 None of the above
Primarily from my home country not listed.
If its a coin - its my main focus - no matter where it was made.

US, Mexico, & Canada.

I was trying to complete a set of Canadian 1oz Maple Leafs but I am thinking of bailing out because of the frustrating "milk spotting" issue that seems to be notoriously common on them, waiting for the price of silver to go up so I can sell what I got and get my first U.S. gold. Thinking of a $20 dollar double eagle.

The poll is not working correctly - no voting boxes show up. Not sure what I am doing wrong...

Poll fixed

And my choice is not listed - US, Canada, *and* Australia (not necessarily in that order).

I voted for "I collect everywhere"; I'm mainly a one-from-every-country guy. But going purely by the numbers, my top 10 countries are:

Australia: 662 (not counting decimals pulled from circulation)
USA: 506
Great Britain: 499
Canada: 360
Germany: 293
France: 206
New Zealand: 157 (also not including decimals).
Roman Empire: 152
India: 133
Belgium: 125

I am an OFEC collector also. Have coins right now from 201 countries listed in the KM catalogue. But also have collected all the Canadian dollars from 1935 to 1968(when they went to nickel), and all the Canada 5 cents except 1875-H, 1921, and 1947 dot.

Primarily Canadian then US
For many years it was primarily Canadian then OFEC,
but for the last couple of years US small cents and quarters have usurped attention from the dark side

I concentrate on US coins.

I do have a large number of Canadian coins from living in border states. I have kept every Canadian coin I have ever received in change, so there are plenty of duplicates.

I also have a dark side collection of about 160 coins. Almost all of my UK coins came from a family of UK expats that lived next to me when I was a kid. Other than a few "Coins of the World" grab-bags my mother bought me, most of my dark side coins came from friends that traveled and brought them back to me.
