Don't see how it could be real with the raised rim. These coins had flat rims with denticles basically going all the way out to the edge of the coin.

I'll be careful and not buy this coin!

I would definitely say a bad fake. Here is a good website from someone who seems to know what he is talking about.

After a quick look, I think the one in your pic is what the author of this page calls the "Lightweight."

The rim is a dead giveaway, the space of the lettering from the rim is too wide, and the general poor copy of the design also contribute.

I think the page could use some updating though as I have a sliver copy from the Tree mint in China that is not listed and fits a good deal of the info he has listed as being legit. The problem with the newer copy is that it mixes up a legit back die with a legit front die.

Great link - I have one of these dollars, so this makes me a little nervous! I'll be posting a pic as soon as I figure out how you guys do it! (Mine doesn't have the raised rim, so I'm not out of the game yet!)
