For years I have carried a pocket piece, at times they somehow became lost and then I would replace them. Currently I carry a Morgan and a Peace dollar and have had good conversations with people when they are seen with my change. Does anyone else carry around a pocket piece and what do you carry?

Sometimes I'll just have some non silver coins that can be spent, but aren't seen regularly, like modern Kennedy halves or SBA dollars....I've also spent a couple of $2 bills lately

I used to carry an Eisenhower dollar many years ago. I have thought about starting the practice again, but I already have too many things in my pockets to worry about losing.

I used to carry a 1883-S Morgan that I carried for years but recently I have started carrying a PO-01 1878 VAM-83 Morgan dollar (still have the 1883-S though)

I once saw a TV program where a person was taking a Canadian loonie and toonie and trying to get change for them from people in a TX parking lot. It was hilarious. At one point the person pulling the prank even told his "victims" that the loonie and toonie were new US coins. Surprisingly after he handed them to them and let them inspect them, they talked as if they believed him! I do not understand how they missed the word "CANADA" in big, bold letters.

unfortunately, some folks don't understand that Canada is a different country....did you ever watch "Jaywalking" on the Jay Leno Tonight show?

Man, I so could say something, but I'll be nice, I respect our Canadian members {and learned quite a bit from them} too much to try to quip.

I carry 2 Morgans, one with a hole in it, a Peace dollar, with a hole in it, and a slick Walking Liberty half. Reminds me of my youth growing up in Las Vegas, Nev. The air was clean, there were 50,000 people in the whole state, the mob was in control and our dollars jingled in our pockets.

Picked up a 1862 Emanuelle II 5 Centesimi from a junk bin for a dime.
Nothing special.
Like to carry it because my family did not leave Italy until the 1890's. I like to think an ancestor may have used this coin.

I carry a fishscale and a US 3 cent piece. Everything else was too heavy and annoying.
