When it comes to the Barber series I am totally clueless when it comes to grading. I picked this up for my 7070 and wanted to make sure I didn't over pay. Thoughts on grade and value?

Seems solid for EF-40 and possible for EF-45. I'd like to see stronger edges on the LIBERTY band to consider an AU grade.

Your photos make the coin appear excessively bright in the centers. The toning however seems original so I'm guessing it hasn't been cleaned or over-dipped. Looks like a nice 7070 choice!

I agree with XF40/45. If you paid between $20-$30 id say it was a good price. $30-$35 would be understandable if the seller was thinking XF45/AU50.

But that Obverse is either XF or a very late die state AU. Which I could believe given the strength of the Reverse.

I would grade it XF45. It has nice eye appeal so I think it may be worth about $35.

Rest in Peace

I imagine the photo is hiding some detail, so it depends.

Judging on the photos, I would put it at XF45, may bump to 50, kind of hard to tell. Either way, it's a nice looking coin for your 7070. I like the peripheral toning.
$35-$40 and you did alright.

Cool! I don't feel too bad. I only paid $24 for it. Seller had it listed as AU.
