Please take a look at this coin. I think it's the DDO-002 and I want to get your opinions on grade and value. ANY help with be greatly appreciated! Update: I think I've found the FS number for the coin! It has all the marks of the FS-50-1964D-108. The Date, IN GOD WE TRUST, LIBERTY, Designers Initials and Hair all show doubling. The strongest point is the "U" in TRUST, but you can see it all around the coin. It's also shown as CONECA 8-0-II. I'm going to send it for grading. The luster is great, but it has a few bag marks. I see some wear--AU55? I'm no good at grading these, but it sure looks like a DDO to me.  |

Thanks! I'm not good at grading Kennedy half dollars. After everything I've researched, I'd 90% sure it's the FS-50-1964D-108/CONECA 8-0-II. It's rare if you go by the CherryPickers' Guide. They give it a URS-4. I found one that sold on Heritage for $1000 in MS-67, but I know this one is much lower. Any DDO is good in my book. In fact I just got a 1955 DDO Die 1. *Sigh* No, not that 1955 DDO. It's a ANACS MS-65 1955-S 1 Cent DDO, does anyone know how rare these are? I'm still looking for the right 1955 DDO. Now I'm not sure of the FS or CONECA numbers. I found the details to look for and it doesn't match the 108. I'll keep looking. Can anyone help?

Photos too Small to nail down the DDO. I would say AU-50 to AU-55, sharper photos would help. Can't tell "mint luster" in the photos. |

Thanks! The mint luster is great, I'll try to do another set of photos, but I'm working with a regular lens. Once I have access to a macro lens I'm sure I'll get some better shots.
Setting up the camera now. I'll do the best I can to show luster and details.

Well the last pic you posted proves its a DDO to me....I am not an expert though....I def see doubling in the words Trust though.... |
