Need to vent. Went to US Cheap Coins and found a guy selling "Proof 2005 -S Oregon Presidential dollar US UNC" He posted only one picture of the reverse and no mention of the coin being a State Quarter. I'm not a E-Bay member and would like to ask him or her why? No bids yet, ends today 6/23/11. Should someone report this?
Rest in Peace

Too many sellers on ebay don't even have a clue what they have, so it's hard to tell if they are being deceptive or just ignorant.

Those are the ones that you check to see what other items he is selling. Maybe he does have something and doesn't know it? Maybe selling it too low.

A different auction sight has a "Silver 1943 One Cent Wheat penny" for only $5 USD so far

Dollar?

Yesterday, I sent a message to the seller, saying that is actually a War Time Steel Cent. No change yet, and no bids so far.

Sometimes people just make mistakes. Actually the liberty dollar is a more accurate term than Peace dollar. Some whitman
holders even state the original names of some coins.
I always thought that the Buffalo nickel was named strangely.
Indian head or indian nickel/five cent seemed more accurate.
Even the Mercury dime. Bad shot of liberty but thats actually
what it is. Sometimes coins are named because of what the obv.
signifies and others by the designer. Never much liked the Barbers also. not the coins so much but the name. Too late now
though to change the barbers and the morgans. :)

Actually the correct name for the coin IS Peace dollar. It is specified as such in the legislation that created it.
