How easy would it be to put together a P&D Roosevelt dime set together from 65-present? I am working on this set but got a ways to go!

I need to get a set going of the Roosevelts. I have two days off work and might not be a bad idea. The Dime box searchers could probably give us some insight. I wonder if it is possible to complete an entire set from just one box.

Any reason why you would want to do that? Right now I am completing my 1946 - 1964 dime set as I type this :P 13 coins to go!

This set is pretty easy to complete just from circulation. Without any roll searching, just from change, I have already completed this set with all coins in AU to Unc. It will take some time to get all of them just from change, but it is fun anyway.

Well two boxes should cover every single coin P/D from 1965-2010. Also you may get lucky and get some silver. But 1946-1964 is hard but I'm almost done. 3 more to go. I have been seeing lately in my searching nice AU-BU late series (1985 and up) it will take time to get any good AU/BU on earlier dates.

I, live in Canada, and have completed the Roosevelt dime set by roll searching and I think I got 5 or 6 from CCF members.

Yes, two boxes should do it but figure about 6 or 8 boxes to find them all in nice condition. (VF+ and better) Watch for some of the varieties like the '68 DDO, '82- NMM, and the '70 P & D DDR's.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

EgCollector: I do find it quite interesting how someone can complete a coin collection in a land far, far away. Do you have to buy everything from a coin shop in Egypt?

My entire 1965-Date Roosevelt dime collection has come from regular change, but it was started in 1981 and was current by 1984 (keeping in mind that I was 11~14 at the time). The last few years have been difficult though. I believe it would be easy to finish this from one or two boxes. It is something I have thought about doing with my son when he gets older.

I have been silver searching dime rolls and putting this set together. I have most of the set done! But the earlier dates are less than AU. I have searched through about one box.

Jbuck is absolutely right. I am working on a box right now to look for silver and create a 1965-present sent. I am halfway through the box and only one single Roosevelt eludes me. 1971.

Rosie's from U.S. Proof & Mint sets look really good in a Dansco too ! .... Might I suggest making one set "from circulation" and one set from "crackin' O.G.P.'s" ! ....
