I Have bit the bullet and have 6 sets packaged and ready to go to PCGS in The Am.
That is 6 sets cherry picked from 12 original.
The other 6 went back to the mint for refund, due to quality issues

Basebal21, just to be clear to those new to the slabbing game, the option is to not slab coins that grade below 69 (or any other lower number). The coins are graded and the full cost is still charged, the coins are just not slabbed. You cannot ask to only slab the 70s. Wif99, sending back cherry picked sets is a little less than cosher, I won't lecture you on it but I will say . It is a violation of the mint return policy but PBGS and the mint have violated their own policies enough to render most (if not all) of them irrelevant. I don't collect slabbed coins but it sure is nice to see other posters here getting such great deals, both on coins they ordered from the mint and on the first round of aftermarket slabs. My big debate is whether to just put the two sets I have in a mint sealed box away to help maintain their FS resale value or to give in to my curiosity and open them. The one set I have opened had two perfect coins in it. I have four more sets coming in the last mint round, two ordered on the third and two in the last hour on the fifth so if I hold out long enough I will open them and stash the FS box. I still have four 2011 sets in individual mint sealed boxes that could keep them company.

Clair very good point I apologize if I wasnt clear enough in my response. Thank you for helping with that
I also agree PBGS policies seem to be whatever they feel like having them at the moment so whats whats good for the goose is good for the gander as far as returns.
As far as your resale sets I would keep them unopened. That usually gets a little more money on the aftermarket than just the set. More importantly on this set though with some of the quality issues no one can accuse you of cherry picking sets and selling what you didnt want if the box is sealed from the mint whereas if you open it and its not the greatest and resell it you may get some unhappy customer. Plus some people really do like the unopened ones, you can always open them later if you choose but can never reseal them (well you shouldnt lol)

... It's kinda funny how when I first posted on this thread the same people that replied to my post and said there is no difference in FS/ER other than getting ripped off by the TPG's are now drooling over the FS/ER 70's. What a difference 2 months can make ehh? Erik

clairhardesty You Can Lecture all you want, it will fall on deaf ears I have been a mint customer since 1996, and bought most everything they sold for many years. These sets are the 1st thing I have returned in 16 years. I have a few pucks and other coins in my safe that probably should have been returned, But when The US Mint tells me, My order placed at 12:08 on day 1 was shipped out 4 days behind people I Personally know ordered 4 days after mine, because it was a larger order and required more scrutiny, that is the last straw. Everything better be PERFECT from now on. Then to add insult to injury Silvertowne is selling Graded sets 5 days after mine are finally shipped. I am pretty sure their order was larger than mine. I have 2 more set ordered on the last day, That I Thought about cancelling, but I found 1 more original that I am not sure of so it will probably go back when I receive my final order

That is 6 sets cherry picked from 12 original. I wish you luck.... There is a well respected posted on another forum that cherry picked the best out of his sets and sent in 40 coins for grading.... He got 8 70's total from the group There was another that sent in 40 SETS (80 coins) pre-screened and got 6 RP 70's (out of 40) and 10 PF 70's (out of 40 coins) Probably why we are seeing this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-S-SAN-...em19d43b87d4
