I am a new member and am looking for someone to swap the new Dollar coins on a quarterly basis as the new coins comeout. I have 4 rolls of the P mint on hand and am looking to swap 2 rolls for 2 rools of the D mint as they come out.

I would just like to get 2 of each president and each mint mark to create 2 albums. One for me and one for my sister. I am still working on her State Quarter album and thinking about giving it to her for her birthday this year even though it won't be finished. I don't really want to buy a whole roll as I don't know what I would do with the rest of them. Would anybody even take them if you tried to spend them? LOL.

Rest in Peace

When they say dollar bills does it mean they'll only take $1 bills?

IrishRaider, leave them for tips and small purchases and you'll have fun watching people try to figure them out.

Some think you're trying to pull a fast one while others are interested. I usually have some Susan Bs and Sacagaweas with me for that kind of thing and once in a while folks start asking questions.

Who knows, I figure it might just infect someone else with our condition.

My Grandpa says his credit union is supposed to have the dollars next Thursday. If it does, he will get me some and I will start a new collection.

I am gonna puke. Why anyone would pay OUR MINT 36 dollars for a 25 dollar roll of business coins is beyond me. For 11 dollars profit they could afford to wrap rolls with your personal logo on it and also put some fuel in your car ...

This is just another outrageous attack on the public good and symptomatic of a truely greedy and out to lunch government. Do they think people are just stupid?

Not too long ago you could take your paper money to a bank and demand an actual silver, silver dollar. Now we got to pay our incompetent and out of control government a premium to buy our own business currency? Outrageous! Insulting! and Wrong!

Write or email to your congreedman , senatorts, and the whitewash house, and demand that they excavate their heads from their rectums. Demand, dont ask, that these new business strike coins be made for circulation, and be made available to any citizen at our request durring normal banking hours at face value. Require them to make the banks carry our currencies, and, or to provide within reasonable time for the issueance of said as demanded. Require of them that the mint produce sufficient quantities to meet demand. These are our business coins. I am not talking about their Proof or Special Sets. Release these new business strike coins immediately as produced, and at face value!

Boycott all mint products untill they change. Besides the older U.S. coins are more rare anyways. Put your money there.

This is getting nuts. If you buy these coins at this demand for a premium, you will only empower, embolden, and give to these morons more power. The power really belongs to the people, or did I miss something? Maybe so, if you live long enough ya get to see a lot of scams. This I fear is another one. Boycott Mint Products. Thank you...Gusp

I have talked to several local banks in my area and they will not be getting Presidential dollar coins. They said that it was a decision made at the corprate level.

Dansco will have an Album that includes the proofs. They are holding off producing it until they know for sure if the mint gets permission from Congress for silver proofs. The book will either be P,D,S or P.D.S.S.

Was in Coin World on line today that the Washington Dollars have been released to quite a few Banks already.

Will check my bank tomorrow but PA was not on the list of states that have received them today.

Gusp...a bank is a private institution and carry what they wish in denominations that they wish. Why should we give our Government any more power over yet another private institution? How is selling the Presidential coins at a premium through the Mint any different than any other coin that they sell and always have?

Many folks prefer to purchase only from the Mint and they should, if they don't already, know that they're paying a premium from them. Caveat Emptor
