Probablly an AU coin, however, if you have done the research, and the coin is genuine, chop marks are something that can be too much in my opinion...I could own a trade with a couple, but this is too much for me...some may well like the look, but this one has a few too many..from a quick glance,it looks real..local coin shops have these at around $150,give or take

I'm not a fan of chop marked coins. I guess I'm more of a purist. I just think they are damaged. I know there are many collectors our there who do though. to each his own. I dont know enough about them to say whether or not chop collectors like more or less marks. this one seems excessive.

AU-55 details. The value can exceed that of an unmarked coin as there are many collectors that specialize in the chops. This one as many marks so not as eye appealing but the chop mark collectors will love this one.

It is certainly not uncommon for a chop marked coin to hold, if not exceed the value of a non chopped coin. Chops don't devalue a coin like othe damage foes. I can't say I've concluded there is a particular method to the madness to achieve a firm valuation either. Check out ebay and heritage sold listings and you can see the final result can be an illogical range. It's almost like valuing colored toning in Morgan's...

There is debate if this helps the coin or hurts it value as to the history of the coin....since many were sent to Asia and vendors would chop the to make sure of the silver purity

AU details.

There is a possibility that this coin may be worth with the chopmarks to the right buyer. Some collectors like them while others consider them damage.
Rest in Peace

I like them without the chops, but I have a couple friends who are members of a chop marked circle that go nuts for a coin like this a bunch of chops.

Another example of those who find paths slightly outside the norm who really appreciate the history even more than the coins themselves.
