Checked the tracking info today....and Fed Ex indicates they will NOT be delivering my package because of damage and to contact the sender.
Mint said....they will issue a refund if I fill out a form. Provided the tracking info and asked why I have to prove what has happened. Too bad....so sad.

acloco: I'm sorry to hear about the damaged package. That's unfortunate.
Btw, I haven't received my set yet, tracking said Saturday, despite I ordered at noon.
On the other hand, my friend ordered his 2 set at around 2hrs after release and he got his today.
Oh and he offered to sell me his extra set.... I am waiting for my 2 sets so I don't think I need it.
So, if you need a set, let me know and I'll ask my friend.

Received my two sets yesterday and they are really nice looking. Nice and shiny. Really like how each coin has it's own perfect size capsule and can easily be taken out. Wish the coins in the 2014 Kennedy half dollar coin set came out as easily. Those feel like you're going to damage the packaging and/or capsule when taking them out.

SA4H - Thanks.
Believe a local collector might have a spare.

Not surprised on the damaged packaging. Heavy sets banging around in a box too big.

These things are rolling off the shelves on the bay for 179-189.

the quality control is just so bad box size totally wrong for this set. The actual set is really nice looking except the dime came backwards but easily fixed. I wish they would get their act together and do a better job with quality control. I am glad everyone had no problems with their sets for the most part

Today's update........
Evidently, there must be a shipping box medic employed at Fed Ex.
Box is BACK ON THE MOVE....estimated delivery date of October 18.
I wonder what the box looks like.

I'm sure those who purchased to flip are just happy to get their money back, I can only guess many ebay sets, even congratulation sets are cherry picked as the graded 2017S PR70DCAM go for over $200. Essentially (just guessing here), many are using the bay to offload unwanted/unprofitable sets or flawed rounds, others just may return them to mint. In some ways, from a "mint set perspective", the ASE does not really fit together with the rest of the coins in this mint set.
