i also keep a checklist/inventory list of the entire type 1 reverse 36-year silver eagle run, which I've had to modify & rewrite a couple times... if I've counted right, to have 1 of each type 1 reverse ASE minted 1986-2021 constitutes about 98 different coins. I currently need 3, will be 4 when the reverse proof set is released later this year. that's a lotta silver dollars for the type 1 reverse series.

Hey, I really like that handwritten spreadsheet of yours. And no, I'm not kidding.

they were easy to remember until 2006, then it started getting tricky, with all the reverse proofs, the skipped years '09 & '10, the box sets & all the coins in them '06, '11, '12, '13, '19, and now all the specialty coins.. it's taken years of looking at the list & the collection itself to have pretty much memorized the entire collection, what it consists of.
i have no computer, so I have to go the primitive route and do it by hand. glad I don't have to chisel it into stone. that's the third list I've written.
my collection of ASEs requires that I get one of every make & mint. however, I don't buy every mint product with a silver eagle in it.

It reminds me a little bit of my handwritten D&D character sheets WAY back in the day.

Quote: It reminds me a little bit of my handwritten D&D character sheets WAY back in the day. you got me pegged. I was the Dungeon Master. I made my own modules (complete with illustrations) & invented a lot of weapons, monsters and magic stuff. had all the hardcover books, too. I still have all of my stuff boxed up... the cheap soft-cover "basic" stuff along with hardcover "advanced" books. I also have many notebooks filled with hand-drawn maps and custom beasts (my younger brother did most of the creature drawings since he is the artist in the family). I also have a few cassette tapes with stuff I created on my Sinclair ZX-81 and just one diskette with a few things I created on my Commodore 64 (I had mostly quit playing my then). Good times. arrgghh... I just noticed a clerical error on my spreadsheet, which I just 'fixed': the business strike/bullion coins (no mm) were minted at philly, san fran & west point in 1986, and then just philly from 1987-1999. I'm not sure why I listed them the way I did. I think I was confusing the bullion dates & mints with the proofs' dates & mints. I had to get the Mercanti ASE book out & read some footnotes. i have the bullion coins listed as (S), when, I guess, technically I ought to have listed the '86 as (S)(W)(P), then (P) from '87-'99, with (W) taking over at 2000. i will most likely rewrite the list once I finish off the series.
