That's a great Barber type set! Nice to have the tie-in with your father's collecting interest and also having some examples from his personal collection, as well.

hfjacinto, I have this 1911 in an ICG MS-65 holder. I picked it up for a very reasonable price several years ago. It's one of a number of mint state Liberty nickels in my collection. I like them, too. I would like to add a PCGS or NGC example in MS-65 someday.

I have one more special Barber to add to this post. Today, after nearly ten years of metal detecting, I dug up my first Barber dime. I found it along the bank of a local river. It is an 1899. Although the rocky ground has left it a bit nicked up, with all the details it has, it must have been lost just a few years after it was minted. I found a well-worn Barber quarter, also an 1899, eight years ago while detecting a local house tear down. That one is in my collection, too.
