...she is happy I gave her these to build a set on. If you have knowledge of any other Countries with Roosters on their coins, that would be great! Thanks in advance. Dave 10 Shillings - 2000 Somalia Sixpence - 1964 Malawi 50 Francs - 1953 France swcoin.ecrater.com

vermontensium, if you look for countries especially with large Chinese communities, you will see coins that commemorate Chinese zodiac. The rooster happens to be one of them and there will be a lot to collect. This is one of them from Singapore.

Not a rooster, but a hen. Wouldn't want him to get lonely

carmykle, always good to see a post from you. Sure do miss getting beat by you on the sales section. Here is an example of the Malaysia 1247 1 keping on ebay. Whip out the ol brillo pad and some metal polish and she might actually be able to see the rooster! (Seriously though, I am just kidding. Put the brillo pad down and step away from the metal polish.) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Malaysia-Ma...em4837890b29

It is not the hen on that Irish 1d that makes this coin delightful. It is the four little chickies! The rooster, having had his fling, is off to other adventures.
