Looks to me the edge inscripted after the minting as it protrude out. Also the surface seems to be shinny for a coin of that age. Any other clues to why you have figured it out be a fake ? Thanks !

This is a recent trend of Chinese sellers pretending to be based in Canada, but rest assured a lot is being done about this thanks to Mr. Mike Marshall.

Reported. Quote: Any other clues to why you have figured it out be a fake ? Although having the appearance of being cleaned it retains the tell-tale marks of such fakes identified by another contact of mine. For reference I post again photos with the give away flaws highlighted. Obverse:

Great analysis Mike, shows the markers for the die used to make these relatively high end fakes.

If the buyer was genuine I feel sorry for them... 950 Euros is a lot to lose for most people ebay should revert to showing bidder ID's again, surely that protects buyers better and creates greater trust in the marketplace?

Do you think the "arrow" edge letters is another prominent feature to classify it fake? Can anyone answer this question? Henry
