To answer GoldenChest question in the 7/14/16 post. Yes my non error Natick note is in the consensus, it is serial number E79830742H Gem CU. and as a follow up to my above post the error Natick E79299659H PCGS64 is without any Natick designation on the holder.

Thanks notehunter494, this is the 41st confirmed Natick error on my census..
The PCGS & 2 PMG errors I purchased also didn't have the Natick Test Paper designation on the Holders..

Hello, It has been a while and I have to ask if there have been any updates to the Gilbert Paper possible dates/series and blocks. As of about this time last year we have $1 1963 Block C-A Run#96 (C60800001A - C61440000A) as documented. Series $1 1963A Block G-G Run#41 (G25600001G - G26240000G) as verified by paper work documentation but officially verified by BEP records? That is to ask would the grading services put an attribute to these notes being on Gilbert Paper? Lastly $1 1963 Block G-B Run#121 (G76800001B - G77440000B) as observed by Bruce Jedwabny, the grandson of a Gilbert Paper employee. With respect to this last observation, Run 121, has it ever been determined that these are 1963 plain series or 1963A and is there a possibility of photos and or documentation from the Company? Thanks

You would think the very thing PAPER money is printed on (PAPER) would be a bigger deal. But alas, the overall paper money collector community doesn't give this brief, alternate source of security paper much attention. I'm guessing, without being accompanied by a Gilbert pamphlet or leaflet, a 1963A G-G or G-B note does not have any collector value.
I'm currently in negotiations with Tom for his stash of G-G notes found in the Gilbert Paper Company administration building. I'm hoping to get them for historical preservation, and not for profit.

Thanks Steve, boy I would sure like a couple of those if it ever come through. They would be a real piece of paper money history, paper not from Crane. Maybe we can make a trade.

notehunter494, Without being able to purchase both the series 1963 Gilbert C-A Block note and series 1963A G-G note found in Gilbert's Safe, I gave up on my idea on how to provide the necessary proof required to show the notes found in Gilbert's Safe was printed on Gilbert Stock... I spent about $150 while waiting to purchase the above two Gilbert notes, purchasing a number of high grade raw Star notes from both series 1963 C-* & 1963A G-* Notes, as I believe with the amount of Currency Stock delivered by Gilbert to the BEP (and knowing Natick Star replacement notes had been printed on Natick Test Paper 6 years after Gilbert's Test Paper), I believe one or more Star (replacement) Runs may have been printed on Gilbert Paper..
Without having the Gilbert Sample C-A pamphlet note, everything else is useless.
I also believe that the series 1977A 8,000 Sheet Run of $10.00 E-* notes were printed to replace and defective E-B $10 notes, and have been searching for examples from each of the 14 Runs the BEP printed the same month they printed the Star notes.. I do have 3 Natick Notes available and can use one for forensic testing should I obtain some of the E-B $10 notes.
I recently reactivated my SPMC membership after letting it expire almost 20 year's ago, and posted 2 Blogs, for Natick & Web-Press Overprint Errors. If there is interest in either of those 2 Census's, I can post them here on CCF.

Broken-Coin, Many Thanks for the follow up. I guess without additional documentation from the BEP or Gilbert personal we are at a dead end. I too have been accumulating the stars for the 1963A Chicago, they are plentiful and relatively cheap, I have a few for each run. The stars for the 1963 plain Philadelphia are much more difficult. I only have a couple that are with some district sets I purchased long ago. As for the $10 Natick I collected many way back but, sadly, after going through the serial numbers none match the higher number run that represents the Natick notes as identified in Azipazu's spiral bound reference. The hunt goes on. I feel it would be very valuable to have your updated Census information for Natick and Web-Press Overprint Errors on CCF.

If anyone is still working on this, I can supply scans of 3 Gilbert Notes with serial numbers C61069423A, 24A, and 25A as I used to own them.

I purchased as a set of 3 on ebay for cheap cheap, about $15. The dealer did not bother to check what he was selling. They have been sold to collectors, one on ebay and the other 2 privately.
