See, I told you all I would be wrong about the Merc. I would still take it, though!

For the 1817 Half, I'm gonna go Straight AU.

For the half I would guess AU cleaned.
(I like this game. I get to play even if I'm not good at it.)

On that half, it is either a 58 or a 63.

You and me, both! If there was a "high 5" emoji, I would post it.

Here's the answer:

Forum-Game:-Straight-Grade-Or-Details-Grade

SilverDollar2017 got it right away. The smooth surfaces of this coin actually threw me off. And, then it looked like some wear on a few curls and the eagle's talons. Link: https://coins.ha.com/itm/bust-half-...nail-071515.

I was half right on the half!

For the 1865 dollar, I'm gonna say Details: cleaned & retoned.

Have I seen this one in a different topic?

Pretty crusty, but I don't see anything that would detail it.

It's another nice coin, looks unc. The rev looks like it could've been cleaned and retoned but that guess is beyond my ability, so I have to say straight-grade 62.

(That cleaned 16-D dime is up to $6,000, now. Way over my head.)

Au-53 and she graded straight. I bid on this coin in a previous Heritage auction. It hammered at just under $3,000. I know one of the previous owners. He sold it to another dealer who cracked it out and sent it back into to PCGS. He was hoping for an upgrade, didn't get it and listed it with Heritage. Now it is for sale on Dick Osburns site for $3,700. This one has borderline Ed and has probably has been cleaned and retoned but was deemed market acceptable by PCGS twice. It just can't seem to find a permanent home.
