Actually I saw these a few days ago on a commercial right in the NBC nightly news. They were going crazy about the "first" and "official" and "lavishly plated"

I feel sorry for those who got tricked...

I just saw a commercial on Fox news for these coins. 9.95 + shipping for a $1 coin. But if you call RIGHT NOW, we'll send you TWO for the price of one! Never did they say how much shipping would be.

You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time. - Abraham Lincoln

Aren't there laws about defacing US coins?

tepritts- well they aren't defacing the coin, rather they are putting something over the face.

I too saw this on MSNBC tonight. It made me shudder...

Something inside makes me want to laugh at this, but something else tells me that you could have actually gotten a set!

Now don't take this wrong with all of those coins why not include a Lincoln Cent - he was the one that signed the Emancipation Proclamation freeing the Slaves.

And that makes as much sense as any of these others that are included.

Oh and which Kenyan coin should be included.

That is the #1 item on my list of things NOT to buy.

It is also on my list of dumbest things that I have ever seen.

If you buy the Obama change collection you are esentially buying overpriced coins with stickers on them. I'll bet that these are selling pretty well.

If they were from New Jersey, then they would also glow in the dark.
