I'm sure you have your own reasons and considerations, but I would personally put that toward the 09-S VDB if I had to choose.

I would go for a higher grade 09-S VDB ,It is a safe investment and will hold the premium if not going up.

09 s vdb or the big DDO

I personally would go for a maybe 2-3 hundred bucks worth of bulk foreign, but then again I have time on my hands.

My vote is for the '09 S VDB. But I'd only buy it if it was slabbed.

One of my dream coins is a 55 DDO so I'd go with that. 09 S VDB next.

I'd skip the CAM myself, I never really found the modern rarities to be that exciting unless they're major errors. Stuff like the 95 W eagle, 68 no S dime, etc just dont appeal to me. I'd much rather get a high grade classic type coin or a key date lowball than one of those.

I would buy several nice DDO's, that would be easier to sell, than to have a high dollar coin, in case you you need to sell it later.

I'd try to wait it out and slide into a MS66, 1885 CC Morgan dollar for the whole $1500.

Heritage has had some nice ones that went low these last few months like under $1200 low. might be a good opportunity there if you have the patience for it.

Up to you, ddos, and varieties being what they are, I'd just go for the 1909 S VDB if it were me everybody like Lincolns, and that one particularly.

BUT, make sure it's slabbed and legit and cleanly graded, so you don't get stuck with a raw problem coin you didn't realize, for $1500.

in fact, stick to slabbed coins in general and verify it before you buy it, The grading and slab will add confidence for buyers if you go to sell it down the road.

I would go for the '55 DDO myself. To me that is the king of the Wheat cent series.

I think the larger market would be the 1909 S VDB, I would go for that if for investment.

1909S VDB, assuming that you want to choose between this and the other.

The 1909-S VDB is needed to complete a legitimate set.
The 1955 DDO is a fluke. Although widely known among cent collectors, it is still a fluke.

I would be patient and try to steal two of these for that $1500. But the rest is up to you. You've listed the doubled die, the variety and the key date of course people are going to have different opinions on which one to buy.
