Definitely coin #1 judging by the reverse detail, but one caveat is the lighting isn't great in those photos, the surfaces likely look closer to coin #2 in hand

Much prefer the second one. Reverse looks cleaned on the first, hard to believe it straight-graded.

I prefer the first coin, as mentioned the reverse detail is better. I don't personally see any signs of cleaning, but I may easily be wrong. I also don't care for the black spotting on the bust of the second coin

#1. A bit dark but that weakly struck wing area on #2 is distracting to the overall look.

#1 is IMO lightly cleaned, and the lighting isn't that good as well. personally I really like the surfaces on #2, nice and original.

They both look original to me, but I like the look of the second one better. Another advantage of the second one is that it's an O-102 or O-102a variety, which means it might be an XXX edge. But you won't know for sure unless you crack it out of the slab.

I'll have to side with #2 slightly over #1. I don't find the old cleaning on #1 to be a dealbreaker, but I'm also not a big fan of the weak reverse on #2. Coin #3 is always an option

coin #3 For straight eye appeal, personally I would go #1 but I'm not in the market for one.

Find someone who knows about half dollar varieties. There definitely are varieties and maybe one is better than the other with respect to that.
Describe it as if there were no picture. Picture it as if there were no description.
