Near mint state sharpness, but lacking in luster. I'll say AU-58 despite the absence of luster.

I'm at AU55, but could see a grade swing in either direction. I think it has great eye appeal. Overall nice strike, even color and toning.

Surfaces look dull with no visible luster. This coin has solid AU detail and, if original, should have a corresponding amount of remaining luster.
It still has decent eye appeal and NGC may have straight-graded it. If so, I'd guess AU-50. Based on these photos I'm thinking AU details, cleaned.

Definitely an eye appeal coin. I like the circulation cameo. Minimal contact marks for the grade.

The obverse looks close to the AU-53/AU-55 line. The reverse looks like AU-55. This isn't a date with huge value differences between one-point grades. I could see NGC at AU-53, but this one eyeballs a notch better. This one would look good in any collection.

EDIT: Straight grade. I played with the seller's pics, and there is luster inside the lettering and some of the protected areas. The dominant surface is light blue-gray toning. IMHO, that suggests time in a sulfur-paper album.

I pretty much agree with Fortcollins re the sulfur paper 'toning'
I would like to see it get AU-58.
