I just came across this coin. It doesn't look smashed up or anything, looks like a planchet failure to me.. thoughts?

Initially it has the appearance of a massive Cud, but the obverse details say otherwise.

That's crazy looking! With the weight being in tolerance and the obverse being lightly struck in the opposing area, I would lean towards a Cud also, that somehow made it through some circulation time.

Actually, not the opposing area, opposite of the opposing area. I'm clueless.
