With the pics posted, I'm seeing a 1956 D Wheat cent. Not a '43.

Yes it's a 1943 copper penny. I recommend you slab it quickly!

It is a 1956 over 1943 copper, this has to be one of the greatest finds in decades. Yes get it slabbed, let us see the grade when you get it back.

Help us to help you learn. What would make you think that a coin clearly dated 1956 D is a 1943?
