@blon, what is the weight of your coin?

A quick look at the font used for the date and mint mark provides your answer.
Spence asks a good question about weight that should accompany all such authenticity requests - although in this case it is not necessary.
@Blondbear - what do your eyes see when comparing the date and mint mark between the two?
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.artToo many hobbies .... too much work .... not enough time.

Nickelsearcher I do see the difference between the 2 areas you are talking about my question becomes could circulation flatting be the reason for that difference. And I'm not an expert on these just trying to learn how to recognize the differences the op coin is clearly well circulated.

I don't have the coin in question. I came across these listings on eBay and the seller has the same exact listing over and over and over again same exact pictures same exact coin, along with the same title and the same descriptions. I don't know how the seller can have has so many Morgan dollars that are exactly the same?

@Nickelsearcher in my opinion the mint marks look different. The coin in question the mint mark is too big, and it's not spaced properly.

I was just comparing them again and I came across this. It's the difference in their neck. They're just not the same...

Post a link to the listing. Then we can better evaluate the seller and their listings. You have to compare other coins in VG8 or so grade to really evaluate this one.
