These were gotten for 10 lbs. of cherries. Pretty good deal.

This Seated Liberty dime is pretty clearly a Philadelphia product. If there were an S or CC (not much chance of that one!) it would still be easily readable on a coin with this level of wear.

Incidentally, the obverse looks like about a Good-6 to me. The weak reverse brings it down to a Good-4 overall IMO. The Barber dime looks about VG; it needs at least 3 partial letters to be visible in LIBERTY for that grade but I can't tell if they are present based on your photo.

Combined value for these coins is about $12-15 I think. How much does 10 lbs of cherries usually cost?

The tellers at my bank aren't allowed to buy any old coins or currency which they receive in deposits. They can't save them for any one person either so they just give them out to anyone who asks and there are plenty of people asking from what I've been told.

I thought cherry-pickers were supposed to go through the coins hoping to find a good one. But you actually picked cherries! Way to go! I knew there had to be a more efficient way to do this.

Yep that's what my cousin who is a bank teller manager tells me, no employee is allowed to buy coins from the drawer. Somebody is making out pretty good that gets the change on a good day!

At the bank I work at, we are allowed to sell coins and currency to our fellow tellers and then buy whatever we want from them, just as long as we don't mess with our drawers ourselves. I haven't found anything quite as awesome as those yet though, just some older bills and star notes.

when I worked at a bank, we were also allowed to buy coins and bills from our drawer, but they first had to be "sold" to another teller before we were allowed to buy them back. if it was just one or two, you could do it from your own drawer as long as the manager was present and watching you.

I was going to say something along the lines of Buddy above, pretty funny.
Nice coins and your lucky to have a nice relationship with a teller.
